**MEDIA ADVISORY**

Rock the Vote in partnership with Iowa Secretary of State Matt Schulz announced today that Representatives Ron Paul, Michele Bachmann and Senator Rick Santorum will attend and speak at the Rock the Caucus event on Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at 9:45 a.m.

Rock the Caucus aims to engage young Iowans in the caucus process and ensure they are registering to vote and participating in the 2012 election. The Iowa Caucuses are the first experience with voting for many of the state’s new voters. For Iowa’s youngest voters, it is a chance to be part of something truly historic and influential. However, as research reveals, the biggest barrier to their participation is understanding how to navigate the electoral process, including the caucus system.
Rock the Caucus is being held in high schools across the state on January 3rd. Over 800 high school students will attend the featured event at Valley High School.
