Rock the Vote and Registrar of Voters Team Up to Offer Free 7LIONS Concert at Aliso Creek Beach

The Registrar of Voters and Rock the Vote will be hosting a free concert by 2101 Records’ recording artists 7LIONS, Saturday, September 15, 2012 at noon at Aliso Creek Beach in Orange County.

Rock the Vote is a national organization whose mission is to engage and build political power for young people in this country. During its history Rock the Vote has registered more than 5 million young people to vote and has become a trusted source of information for individuals wanting to learn more about registering to vote and casting a ballot.

The Registrar of Voters has been hosting “Surf the Vote” events in coastal cities in Orange County during the summer. The events are designed to raise awareness about the upcoming Presidential Election and to encourage young people to volunteer to work during the November election. Aliso Creek Beach is managed by OC Parks, which has also partnered in the event.

With the distinct sound of “hip-hop fused with rock” influencing their own music, 7Lions have garnered attention and won a cadre of new fans alongside their already established “Lionhead” followers. Their new EP entitled Born 2 Run was executive produced by RedOne and is digitally available on iTunes. The title track “Born 2 Run” debuted on ESPN Music and has already been used during television broadcasts for NASCAR, the NFL, MLB, the French Open, the Australian Open and served as the “LA Kings/Born 2 Run” Stanley Cup theme for the LA Kings.

7Lions are led by the hard-edged vocals of singer/guitarist Forrest Fulmer and the hip-hop poet himself, Mika “Prophet” Guillory. The group also features the textural guitar styling of Will Carpenter and catchy hooks and melodies of keyboardist and producer Morgan Reid. Together with a beat-driven low end from bassist Daniel Hange and a killer sound from uber-drummer Tony Tomassi, 7Lions is set to rock the world.

7LIONS has donated their time and talent for this event.
