Rock the Vote Call’s on Virginia’s Young Voters to Register before October 5th Deadline

The voter registration deadline is just 4 days away for Virginia’s voters and Rock the Vote needs your help to mobile and register young voters across the state.   Today’s young voters are the most diverse group of young adults in history – they’re civically engaged, passionate about issues, like health care and a clean energy economy, and politically aware.   

Join us in reaching out to Virginia’s young adults, including those that have moved and need to re-register.  Here are a few ways you can be involved: 


Promote Important Voter Dates

Make your voice be heard.   Get important election information and sign up for mobile updates from Rock the Vote by texting the word “VOTE” to RTVOTE (788683).

Post the Rock the Vote Online Voter Registration tool on your website, and encourage your {listeners, readers, viewers} to register.  Post our online voter registration tool to your website or blog, allowing your visitors to complete a voter registration application that is both quick and easy without having to leave your site. Radio
Rock the Vote has developed PSAs with the help of some of our artists. We are calling on radio stations in Virginia to help in encouraging young people to register to vote by playing these spots.  Visit www.rockthevote.org/radiorocksthevote

 In last year’s historic election, Rock the Vote ran the largest nonpartisan voter registration campaign in history.  Using a combination of online, mobile and grassroots outreach, Rock the Vote registered 2.25 million individuals.
